Abbey Road Review- An Iconic Classic

Abbey Road is a masterpiece of both the rock and pop genre. It is a classic and even the album cover is iconic. It also contains some of the most well known songs of all time such as Here Comes the Sun and Come Together. There is no denying this the Beatles defining masterpiece.

Abbey Road is quite a unique album when listening to every song consecutively. Each song varies in beats, sound and sometimes songs even change genres, such as going from rock to pop. Each track has a great amount of variance it adds to replay value as each song is not repetitive and is a very good listen. There are some tracks with more slow, conventional rock beats and there are some tracks with faster paced pop sounds that create a varied, but self contained sound the works perfectly throughout. The variance of instruments creates a sound that only The Beatles could make and it is solely their sound. Their production is distinct, varied, unique and created varied, influential paths for both the rock and pop genres. Each track is catchy and can be stuck in someones head for hours, which is a positive, as each song is excellently produced. The album is also well paced and does not bloat the run time. The overall production of Abbey Road is basically perfect, with some strange inclusions which is a tiny flaw.

Abbey Road has fantastic lyricism throughout the majority of its run time. There are a few lines that are mediocre, but they are few and far between. There doesn't seem to be a running theme in Abbey Road, and this adds a sense of. authenticity to the LP. Many albums have a running theme, but as Abbey Road doesn't it creates a distinct overall tone. The songs range from love ballads to campaigns for people to unite and even tracks that were added at the last minute. Again, this adds authenticity that not many albums have. The lyrics in these songs have great vivid imagery, fantastic thematic elements within the song and some of the best storytelling in an album. The diversity in each track adds lyricism to differentiate and create stories that no other band can tell. The lyrical themes throughout every track are diverse, distinct and The Beatles have inspired generations of artists to do similar things.

Abbey Road is a masterful album with a couple of minor flaws that are basically irrelevant, but still there. This album is distinctly a Beatles album and has quirks and the authenticity that no other albums have. It has greatly varied lyrics and many diversely produced tracks. Abbey Road by The Beatles is a classic album and is a masterpiece in both the rock and pop genres.
